AlphaSuit was created by one of the original custom clothiers in Columbus, Ohio in 2015, his name is Sean Mckee. Mckee is a Master Haberdasher with over 25 years of experience in the men's custom made suit business. He started his career with a national company before going off on his own to become an independent custom clothier.
Traditionally the men's and women's custom clothing business has only been accessible to the very wealthy because of the extremely high price points. Clothiers like McKee specialize in saving their clients time and hassle by meeting with them at their homes or offices. These clients are typically the most financially successful men and women in their respective cities and the made-to-measure suits, sport coats, and shirts they purchase are of the highest quality and standards.
Mckee desired to make these custom suits more affordable for young professionals and anyone who wanted to be able to get a Bespoke suit at a reasonable price so he founded, AlphaSuit. AlphaSuit offers custom clothing at very affordable prices. Clients simply book an appointment at AlphaSuit.com to visit with Mckee at one of his office locations in Columbus, Ohio, or any of the other cities AlphaSuit operates.
AlphaSuit offers custom suits from $495-$895 in their standard fabrics. They also offer premium fabrics from $995-$2995 for suits. Sportcoats, trousers, and custom shirts are also available in standard and premium fabrics.
Two years ago AlphaSuit added a ready-made suit line for wedding parties, high school kids, and college students. With Alphasuit it is less expensive for groomsmen to purchase their suits than it is to rent them. Our best selling ready-made suit for weddings is only $195
When it comes to custom clothing, there are several factors that determine the price. First is what we call the "make" of the garment. The "make" is the quality level of construction inside the coat and pants. The second factor and most expensive part of any garment is the fabric. The third is the branding.
The "make" of a garment generally consists of 3 levels, fused, half canvas, and full canvas. A fused garment is a coat that has an inner lining type fabric that has little beads of glue embedded into it. The tailor will heat the glue with an iron while fusing the outer shell fabric with the inner layer or fusible fabric. This method of construction is the least expensive because it takes less tailoring and therefore less time, to make a garment. The fusing process was invented when companies started mass-producing suits. It would simply take too much time for a tailor to be able to mass-produce suits by making them all by hand so by fusing them it took a lot less tailoring and human capital.
The second type of construction is Half Canvas. This type of construction takes a little more time to make than a completely fused garment. The inside of the coat has a literal canvass type material that will actually mold to the person wearing the coat. This molding takes place as the person continues to wear the garment over time, it conforms to the body. This level of construction is called half-canvas because there are still some fusible interfacings inside the coat.
Finally, there is the Full Canvas Make. A full canvas coat has no fusings whatsoever inside the coat. It typically has a lot of handwork in the construction/tailoring process and will conform and mold to an even greater degree than the Half Canvas.
Whether you are purchasing custom clothing or ready-made clothing you can rest assured that you are getting the best quality, best price, and best service, period! How is this possible? AlphaSuit is not a brick and Mortar retail operation. We meet with our customers in one of our co-working offices. Because of this process, we do not have the overhead that the typical retailer has and therefore don't have the same markup which allows us to pass on the savings to our customers.
